Alfred Zorn
April 15, 1938 - September 1, 2015
ZORN, ALFRED GEOFFRY
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of Alfred (Al) Geoffry Zorn (born April 15, 1938) on Tuesday, September 1, 2015.
Al leaves behind a legacy of love, friendship, loyalty and generosity. A devoted father to his two children, Darren and Ryan, beloved grandfather to Danyelle, Ty, William and Megan; and proud uncle to his nieces and nephews. He is also mourned by his sister Shirley Wilkinson, daughter-in-law Penny and his longtime partner John Ashleigh. Al was predeceased by his parents, Alfons and Anna, and sister Lila Anderson.
Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, through hard work and determination, Al rose through the ranks at Shell Canada and retired after a long and successful career. Known for his intelligence, leadership skills, and work ethic, he was respected by those who knew him personally and professionally.
Al liked nothing more than spending time with his family, friends and his constant companions Sophia and Olivia. He left us too soon and will be dearly missed.
Donations in Al’s memory can be made to the Four Feet Companion Foundation or Canadian Cancer Society. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family by visiting leydens.com .
