<div itemprop="description">GRIMSIC, Alois <br>1938 - 2017 <br> <br>Alois Grimsic was born in Ribnica, Slovenia on January 25, 1938 and died in Calgary on January 14, 2017 at the age of 78. <br><br>Lois is survived by his two sisters, one living in Germany and one in Slovenia. He was predeceased by his loving wife Ivanka (Jane), his parents, and three brothers. <br><br>Lois left Slovenia through Austria in 1957 as a young man to work in a coal mine in Germany. When he came to Canada he first lived in Ontario working in the construction industry. He met Ivanka in Toronto and they married in 1976, moving to Calgary in 1977 where he worked in the window business. Lois retired to take care of his wife who had taken ill with Parkinson’s disease. <br><br>Lois was a gentle, loving man who liked fishing and working with his hands. He will be missed by all of his friends and family. <br><br>Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at Holy Name Parish (2223 - 34 St SW) at 11:00 a.m.</div>
