It did not take long for them to become a couple, and in 1997 they celebrated their wedding with friends and family in Penticton, BC.
Family has always been a big part of Carol's life and she left her career to care for her mother at her home in Summerland, where she helped her to live until her death in 2008.
We will miss her outgoing nature, her infectious smile and her endless optimism.
She leaves behind her husband of 19 years, Kenneth, and her 7 siblings; Josie (Chris Patrick ) Chuback, North Vancouver, Patrick (Carolyn) Chuback, Toronto, Linda (Brian King) Galpin, Summerland, David (Rena) Chuback, Summerland, Grace (Wayne Manzer) Mckeeman, Golden, Michael (Lynn) Chuback, Surrey, Donna (Ted) Johnston, Surrey, her godfather Leo Klafki, as well as all her nieces and nephews, cousins and others who were very special to her.
A funeral service will be held at LEYDEN'S CHAPEL OF REMEMBRANCE at 304-18th Ave. SW, Calgary on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 2pm.
A reception to follow at the Elbow Valley Reception Room from 3 to 5pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in Carol's name to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Later this spring, Carol's ashes will scattered at a special lake she always loved.
Condolences and remembrances may be made at www.leydens.com
