<div itemprop="description">HOOKHAM, Dorothy (nee Deakin)<br />1926 - 2015<br /><br /><br />It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Dorothy Hookham on November 22, 2015 at 89 years old. <br /><br />Dorothy is survived by her children, Katherine Whitley, Karen Lomheim (Terry), Dave and Wayne Hookham and Ginny Gonzalez (Fernando); her numerous grandchildren, Linda, Robert (Colleen) and Rick Whitley, Mathew Cowan, Jeremy and Trevor Hookham (Vida) as well as her great-grandchildren, Kayla Charles (Barry), Samantha, Leah, Patrick and Michael Whitley; great-great-grandchildren, Arianna Charles and Brooke Czipoth, and siblings, Peggy Buckley (Roy), Kathy Speers, Pat Lambeth and Al Deakin. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Roy, her sister Evelyn (Nick), brother Don (Elaine), brothers-in- law John Speers and Michael Lambeth, and sister-in-law Eileen. <br /><br />Dorothy moved to Calgary when she was young and grew up in Riverside. She worked at Smith Bilt Hats before she married her husband Roy where she devoted her life to raising her children. She will be missed by all her friends and family. <br /><br />Relatives and friends are invited to a Visitation on Monday, November 30, 2015 at LEYDEN&rsquo;S CHAPEL OF REMEMBRANCE (corner of 17th Avenue &amp; 2nd Street SW) from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. <br /><br />A memorial service will be held in her honour on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at St Mark&rsquo;s and St. Phillips Anglican Church (1802-33rd Ave. S.W.) at 2:00 p.m. If friends or family so desire, donations in her memory may be made to the S.P.C.A., 4455 - 110 Ave. S.E., Calgary, AB T2C 2T7.
