<div itemprop="description">CLAYTON, Gladys Marie “Pat” (nee Howard) <br>April 21, 1919 - December 24, 2016 <br> <br>It is with sadness that Pat’s family announce her passing on December 24, 2016 in Calgary. She leaves to mourn her sons Bill (Linda) and Don (Ria); grandchildren Laurel (Ken Hatch), Emily Clayton, Greg Clayton (Jaya), Deirdre (Jeff Beers) and Julia Clayton, as well as great-grandchildren Ethan and Nolan Hatch, Bodhi and Satya Clayton, Wesley and Ayla Beers. <br><br>Pat was born in Islington, ON and during the WWII worked for C.I.L. to assist the war effort while waiting for her pilot fiancée to return from overseas. After the war, Pat married her sweetheart Roy. They were married over 61 years and Pat kept the home fires going while Roy was on the road. <br><br>After being transferred to Calgary in 1963 they joined St. Peter’s Anglican Church where Pat volunteered in many areas. She also delivered Meals On Wheels for many years and volunteered for the Canadian Diabetes Association. Pat enjoyed outdoor activities such as golf and cross country skiing. She and Roy also enjoyed vacationing at their cabin at Mabel Lake, B.C. Pat was a social person and was especially proud of her family. <br><br>A Celebration of Pat’s long life will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at St. Peter’s Anglican Church (903 - 75 Avenue SW) at 2:00 p.m., with Rev.
