<div itemprop="description">McCULLOCH, Marnie<br />1915 - 2015<br /><br /><br />Marnie passed away on Friday, October 16, 2015. Marnie was born in Russell, Manitoba on March 26, 1915. <br /><br />She was predeceased by her father, mother, two brothers and two sisters. She was also predeceased by her husband, Capt. Reginald Hoar, whom she married on August 21, 1946. He passed away on February 23, 1949. <br /><br />In 1954, Marnie married James (Jim) McCulloch. They moved to Calgary in 1956 and established their home on Malibou Road S.W., where they lived until Jim passed away on February 25, 1974. <br /><br />Marnie was also predeceased by her niece Joan and her husband Clement Robert, and their two sons, Jamie and Bob, and a nephew Allan Leifer. <br /><br />She leaves to mourn her loss, nephews and nieces, Lanny (Rita) Leifer and family, Tim (Janice) McCulloch and family, Alec (Valerie) McCulloch and family, Barb McCulloch, and Joan McCulloch; three great-nieces, Michelle Fulford, Theresa Robert and Donna (David) Crawford; great-nephew Guy (Valerie) Gendreau; great-great-nephews, Jonathan (Jaqueline) Robert and family, and Luc Gendreau; great-great-nieces, Nicole (Darrin) Campbell and family, Danielle (Sheldon) Gendreau-Guy and family, Jacquelyn (Mike) Robert-Oduro and family, and Amber (Robert) St. Pierre and family; and sister-in-law Lorraine McCulloch and family. <br /><br />While in Russell, Marnie was active in the community; President of ladies organizations, and President of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion. In Calgary, she was very active in her United (Riverview and later Living Spirit) Church and her Lodge, The Daughters of the Nile, a Life Member of the Marching Patrol and a Life Member of the U.C.W., as well as active in the Condominium Association where she lived, and many other various and associated activities.<br /><br />A celebration of Marnie&rsquo;s life will be held on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at LIVING SPIRIT UNITED CHURCH (629 49 Ave SW) at 1:00 p.m. If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, a memorial tribute may be made to Living Spirit United Church, 629 - 49th Avenue S.W., Calgary AB T2S 1G6, or to Sakkara Temple 115, Daughters of the Nile c/o The Shrine Centre, 5225 - 101 Street N.W., Calgary AB T3L 1S4 (for the Shriner&rsquo;s Hospital) or to a charity of the donor&rsquo;s choice.<br /><br />Condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.leydens.com .
