Margaret (nee Moore), beloved wife of Thomas Ward passed away suddenly on February 8 at Rockyview General Hospital, age 86 surrounded by family.
Margaret was born in Winnipeg and attended Kelvin High School. She was married in Winnipeg to Tom in 1950. While starting and raising their family they moved to Calgary in 1956, back to Winnipeg in 1960 before permanently settling in Calgary in 1961.
After her children were in school, Margaret worked in the printing business before establishing her own print type-setting company.
In her retirement Margaret enjoyed golfing in the summer along with trips south in the winter and playing cards with her friends year round.
Margaret is survived by Tom, her husband of 65 years, sister Gladys, brother Laurence, her sons Gregory, Jeffrey, and Brian, as well as her grandchildren Earl, Justin, Emily, and Jonathon.
Honouring Margaret’s wishes a family gathering will be held instead of a formal service. The family is grateful for the kind wishes and support of their many friends. Margaret will be interred at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family by visiting leydens.com .
