<div itemprop="description">CHAPMAN, Maud (nee Cranston) <br>1921 - 2017 <br> <br>Maud Chapman, aged 95 years, passed away peacefully on April 19, 2017 in the Rockyview General Hospital in Calgary, AB in the presence of her loving family. <br><br>Maud was born on December 11, 1921 in Olds, AB to Norman and Catherine (Renee) Cranston. Maud grew up in Bowden and Calgary, AB. In 1942, she joined the Royal Canadian Air Force Women’s Division, which included service in London, England from 1943 to 1945. <br><br>Maud met Harold Earl Chapman after the war and they were married on September 13, 1947. They lived happily in Parkdale for more than 50 years participating in the community, and active at Parkdale United Church. Together they enjoyed their family, and home and garden. <br><br>Maud is survived by her three daughters Donna (Roger) of Victoria, BC, Cathy of Calgary, AB, and Bev (Dave) of Calgary, AB; and five grandchildren Philip, Elizabeth, Doug, Paul and Caitlin; as well as nieces, nephews, and friends. Maud was predeceased by her husband Harold in 2009; and her brothers (Jim, Ted and John) and sister (Jean Slater). <br><br>Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017 at LEYDEN’S CHAPEL OF REMEMBRANCE (corner of 17th Avenue & 2nd Street SW) at 10:00 a.m. Donations may be made in Maud’s name to No Stone Left Alone Memorial Foundation, or to Historica Canada The Memory Project, or a charity of your choice.</div>
