Pamela Cumberland
October 29, 1934 - April 3, 2015
CUMBERLAND, Pamela
October 29, 1934 - April 3, 2015
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Pamela Cumberland. After suffering a major stroke on March 6, 2015 she passed away peacefully on April 3, 2015 at the Foothills Hospital. Pamela is survived by her husband Roland, of 55 years, and her daughter Angela (Patrick), son Raymond (Terese) and her 5 grandchildren; Hope, Sage, Rainen, Talia and Benji. She is also survived by her sisters in England; Eleanor and Susie; and brother, Patrick in Australia.
Born in India, Pamela moved to England in 1960 when she and Roland married. They immigrated to Niagara Falls, Ontario in 1963 and started a family.
Pam lived an extremely healthy lifestyle; loved travelling the world, going on hiking excursions through the mountains and hills where ever she was. She was a regular at Killarney Pool, spending much time with her friends swimming and working out. She loved the water though wasn’t the most graceful in the pool. Pam loved entertaining and cooking for her friends and family, bringing a life time of stories and memories to all.
The family thanks all the medical staff at Foothills Hospital that attended to her and made her final days comfortable.
If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Alberta, NWT & Nunavut, 100, 119 - 14 Street NW, Calgary, AB T2N 1Z6, Tel: 403-264-5549 www.heartandstroke.ab.ca
