Wiesiek is survived by his wife Elzbieta, his daughter Ewa and her husband Jochen. He was born in Krakow, Poland on November 11, 1945 and moved to Calgary, Canada in September of 1982. Wiesiek enjoyed the simple things in life: reading, excellent cuisine (cooking and eating), swimming, walking, mushroom picking, and watching educational documentaries as well as British comedies. He will be very sadly and deeply missed. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Sunday, June 23, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at Leyden's Chapel of Remembrance (corner of 17th Avenue and 2nd Street SW). <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 24, 2013 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Polish Catholic Church (2111 Uxbridge Dr NW) at 11:00 A.M. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.leydens.com .
