February 17, 1941 – November 23, 2014
Anna Albert, beloved wife of Don Albert, passed away on Sunday, November 23 surrounded by her family after a fearless battle with cancer.
Anna was a devoted and loving grandmother who cherished every opportunity to spend time baking, gardening, making crafts or watching movies with her grandchildren. Family and friends know her best for her creativity, determination, strength, kindness, faith in God and for her many passions.
Anna is survived by her loving husband of 41 years; her two children and their spouses, Craig (Kim), Jennifer (Jeff); four grandchildren, Isabel, Nolan, Mia and Nate. She is also survived by three sisters, Frieda, Eva, Helen (Ray) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Anna was predeceased by her parents, Sebastian and Maria Hanzelik.
Our family would like to extend a special thanks to everyone from Unit 47 at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre for their professionalism, support and comfort for Anna and her family during a difficult time.
Prayer Service will be held on Monday, December 1, 2014 at ST. MICHAEL CATHOLIC COMMUNITY (800 – 85 St SW) at 7:00 P.M.
Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at ST. MICHAEL CATHOLIC COMMUNITY at 1:00 P.M.
If friends so desire, please wear a hint of pink in honour of Anna. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, Tom Baker Cancer Centre, www.albertacancer.ca. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family by visiting leydens.com.
