Vogelsang, Bradley Franklin
1971-2013

It is with great sorrow that the family of Bradley Franklin Vogelsang announce his sudden passing on Wednesday, October 9th, 2013 at the age of 42. Brad leaves behind his best friend and wife of 16 years Nathalie Wright, his parents Mona and Grant Vogelsang, his brothers Kirk (Tara, goddaughter Keela and godson Graydon), Tyler (Laurena and Oliver), in-laws Brenda and Denis Wright and sister-in-law Alexandra Wright (Nick and godson Luke), as well as dear family and friends in all corners of the world. Brad was born on February 1, 1971 to Mona and Grant Vogelsang in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Brothers Kirk and Tyler followed soon after. Brad attended River Heights Elementary School before graduating from Marion M. Graham Collegiate Institute in 1989. Brad went on to attend the University of Saskatchewan followed by owning a series of fuel stations resulting in his move to Calgary. It was his goal and true to his entrepreneurial spirit to become involved in real estate sales and investments. This resulted in a very successful sales and investment career culminating as Vice President of sales for Sabal Homes and the Hopewell Group. Calgary is where he was reunited with his high school friend Nathalie and love soon blossomed. Brad was smart, funny, generous and a great storyteller. He adored his nieces and nephews and they worshiped him in equal measure. Brad loved fast cars and F1 racing; design and architecture; Cape Cod, the Vogelsang family cabin at Cochin Lake, and time at their home in sunny Scottsdale; as well as fine watches and whiskies. Brad was always the best dressed man in any room! He doted on their dog Toby whom he always called "his best friend in the world". All friends and family were welcomed to Calgary and treated like royalty with meticulous attention to details from airport transportation to flowers in the bedroom and even mints on the pillows. Please join us to celebrate Brad's life on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 11:00 am at St. Peter's Anglican Church (903 - 75 avenue SW Calgary, Alberta ). Reception to follow. There will also be a memorial in Saskatoon on Saturday, October 19, 2013.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. Our deepest gratitude goes to the Calgary Police and Emergency Services for their professionalism and support.
