<div itemprop="description">RICHTER, JOAN<br />October 13, 1923 - May 18, 2015<br /><br /> <br /><br />Joan Helen Richter aged 91 passed away peacefully May 18, 2015. Born at Rowley, AB October 13, 1923.<br /><br />Joan is predeceased by her husband Tony Richter and survived by her sister Betty (Peter) Hoshowski and her four sons, Robert (Donna), George (Carol), James (Jack) and Ken (Vivian). Seven grandchildren, Rhonda, Janice, Monica, Charmaine, Michael, Christopher and Candace. Seven great-grandchildren, Jeremy, MacKenzie, Hailey, Josh, Blaine, Jackson and Alexis and one great-great-grandson Mason.<br /><br />Joan was the matriarch of the family, raising her four boys in the Town of Montgomery, Alberta, (and is now a community in the City of Calgary). She volunteered at Montgomery Community Association and was awarded a Government Community Service Award for her involvement. Joan will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Special thanks to the staff of Bow View Manor for their above and beyond service.<br /><br />Funeral Service will be held at LEYDEN’S CHAPEL OF REMEMBRANCE (corner of 17th Avenue & 2nd Street SW) on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 10:00 am.
